DLS Archer Ships First of Two Houston-Based Rigs to Vaca Muerta for YPF Drilling Campaign

The Argentine drilling services company is reconditioning two rigs at its Texas base before deployment in Neuquén province; the move will lift its local fleet to 10 and feeds YPF's plan to expand its rig count to 19 by year-end

The company, created by Aconcagua Energía together with Patagonian partners, is betting on the San Jorge Gulf Basin as a growth platform and is preparing to enter the unconventional segment. The strategic deal adds a significant portfolio of 24 rigs, including drilling, workover, pulling and specialized service units.
