Austral Basin: TotalEnergies launches first wind-battery hybrid electrification for gas production

In the Austral Basin, TotalEnergies has brought online the world’s first hybrid solution integrating wind generation and battery storage to electrify gas treatment plants isolated from the power grid. The project, located in Tierra del Fuego, cuts direct emissions by more than 50% and sets a new global standard for decarbonizing E&P operations.
