Falkland Islands Government Backs Oil Royalty Sovereign Wealth Fund Due in 2030

The Executive Council approved the workstreams in March. The official timetable puts legislative passage in the second half of 2029 and commencement in 2030, two years after first oil. The royalty estimate is $2 billion. Consultation with Assembly members, the U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the public opens in January 2027.
