Martín Migoya, CEO of Globant, is analyzing the possibility of joining the Instituto Vaca Muerta. The idea emerged, Shale24 has learned, from an exchange on social media among the main backers of the training center.

In recent days, 13 service companies operating in unconventional oil and gas production formalized their entry as members of the Instituto Vaca Muerta (IVM), a technical training institute focused on the shale industry.

The project was spearheaded by YPF and later expanded to the broader industry. Its goal is to ensure the highly specialized training required for upstream development in Vaca Muerta, Argentina’s flagship shale formation in Patagonia and one of the world’s largest unconventional hydrocarbon resources.

Through his account on X, Migoya signaled the possibility of integrating into the initiative.

Globant is one of Latin America’s largest IT services and software development companies, with operations in more than 30 countries and about 30,000 employees. According to Migoya, the firm positions itself as a “digitally native” company that combines software engineering, innovative design and creativity to help major organizations undergo digital transformation.

The company focuses primarily on advanced technology solutions, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence — through its Globant Enterprise AI platform and AI Pods — as well as custom software development, digital transformation, user experience (UX/UI), data, cloud computing, cybersecurity, blockchain and industry-specific consulting in sectors such as finance, entertainment, health care, retail, automotive and media.

It works with high-profile global clients including Google, Electronic Arts, Santander and Formula 1, developing native digital products, scalable platforms and AI-driven solutions that enable companies to reinvent themselves and enhance consumer engagement.
